Who was Athena Goddess of Wisdom

Athena God of wisdom

Who was Athena? Athena was one of Zeus’ daughters. Zeus swallowed her Mother Metis when he found out she was pregnant. He was scared that she might have the son, who was prophesized to take the throne. Eventually Zeus had another Hephaistos open his head with an axe to let his child out. Athena emerged from him. She was fully grown, and in full armor. Athena was also known as the Goddess of War. But she was more known for avoiding fights. Athena had a half brother, Hercules. Athena wore and Aegis fringed with snakes which came from the head of Medusa. Athena placed her head upon the shield. Athena also prevented Hercules from killing his mortal father Amphitryon. Out of all of Zeus’ children, Athena was always the favored one. It is believe this is because she had other God’s best intrest at heart and did not fight among the other God’s like most of the others did.
